Fulwell 72-hole Golf Challenge

FULWELL’S FULL OF COLOUR AS ROYAL & AWESOME HELPS RAISE £20,000 FOR SPARKS CHARITY

Royal & Awesome – Scotland’s dazzling golf clothing brand – added a touch of sparkle to a 72-hole event at Fulwell GC, Twickenham, as golfers raised more than £20,000 for the children’s medical research charity, Sparks.

Almost 50 golfers completed four rounds in a day at the 110-year-old club, while wearing eye-catching outfits provided by Royal & Awesome, to raise money to fund pioneering research into issues affecting children, babies and pregnant women. The £20,000 will go towards supporting the one in 30 babies born in the UK with a condition that could affect them for life.

David Barker, head of golf events at Sparks, said: “The golf day was a great success and we would like to thank all the participants for their gallant efforts. “The Royal & Awesome outfits looked spectacular and helped keep spirits high as fatigue started to kick in towards the end of the challenge.”

Sean Whelan, club secretary at Fulwell, said: “We are delighted that Sparks chose Fulwell to host its golf challenge. Sparks is an extremely worthwhile cause and an organisation we are proud to welcome to our club.

“It’s been brilliant to see the Royal & Awesome clothing worn around the club. The bold designs create fantastic photo opportunities at events like this.”

For golfers who missed the event at Fulwell, it’s not too late to help raise valuable funds – or look Awesome. The Sparks Challenge – playing as many holes of golf as you can in a day – may be completed at a golf club of the participants’ choice, with Royal & Awesome rewarding teams, of two or more players, who raise a minimum £400 for the charity, with a free pair of trousers for each team member.

Royal & Awesome’s range of eye-catching golf trousers, shorts and hats is ‘perfect for the pars and the bars’. The brand also boasts a collection of plus-twos as well as women’s trousers, shorts and skorts in dazzling designs, complemented by a selection of shirts, socks and belts.

The ‘Awesomes’ – the brand’s range of brightly designed golf trousers – build on the wonderful heritage and history of golf in Scotland by adding a whole lot of fun and colour, and are guaranteed to make an impact on the course, the clubhouse or the corporate jolly. All of the ‘bottoms’ come with a free golf tool/bottle opener, which is a nod to the strap line of ‘for the pars and the bars’.
