On 2nd November 2015, Michael Furrh set out to make history; he wanted to break his own Guinness World Record of the Longest Usable Golf Club.
The previous record was set by hitting a 20’6″ driver a distance of 63 yards so it wasn’t going to be easy. But decked out in his Pars & Stripes golf trews & with an equally patriotic looking red, white & blue driver measuring a whooping 22′ 6-3/4″, he attempted to go where no golfer had ventured before.
Check out exactly what happened in the AMAZING video below. But if you are the type of person that is all about action, you can skip forward to 02:00 in the video for a truly Awesome slo-mo action shot!
Brings a tear to your eye doesn’t it? We never thought we would see our Pars & Stripes trews ‘out done’ in the patriotic stakes but this video soundtrack may just have done that.
Michael managed to smash the record with a drive of 87 yards (in the air) which was 24 yards farther than previous record!
The record is Awesome & we reckon it is very impressive, but equally impressive is the man himself. Michael Furrh has raised over $54,000 for charity in the last three years so we are honouring him as a ‘trewly’ Awesome All-American hero!
